About drafts
All Lineage Improvement Proposals (LIPs) start as drafts. While there’s no platonic way to structure drafts per se, there are some things worth baring in mind. As you climb the ranks of the Fremen to one day becoming the new Lisan al-Gaib there are a set of tools that will make you draft writing experience and community engagement better.
Firstly, we will be releasing an LLM trained on the LCC to help automate the correct generation of your AIP number. We encourage you to read up on the AIP naming convention which is a META AIP to understand its usefulness. This number will make sure you find your tribe and work as a collective rather than as a lone warrior repeating previous work or getting little support on your big idea.
Secondly, familiarize yourself with the update process so you know what is expected from updating an AIP as it climbs in status code from draft to final.
Please, where possible add a MOTIVATION section, lots of links and references to useful material and a WORKED EXAMPLE.
